DTCC Main Ride — Saturday 25th July ☀️🚴
This weekend’s forecast is about as good as it gets for a big day in the saddle — sunny skies and a lovely 20°C, so dust off the summer kit and get those tyres pumped!
We’re setting off from Southbroom School at 9:00am for a proper Wiltshire classic — 78km with around 750-800m of climbing, so bring your legs and your sense of adventure. The route takes us out past the famous Caen Hill Locks near Rowde, skirts the edge of Salisbury Plain out towards Erlestoke, then loops west through some gorgeous rolling lanes towards Bradford-on-Avon and into the honey-stone streets of Corsham. A real highlight comes as we roll through Lacock — one of the prettiest, most unspoilt villages in the country — before heading back via Sandridge and Melksham lanes to Devizes.
Coffee stop this week is in Rowde ☕ — perfect timing to refuel before tackling the rest of the route.
With the sun out, don’t forget the sun cream and a bit of extra water — this one will get the legs (and maybe the tan lines) working!
Whether you’re chasing PBs on the climbs or just soaking up the Wiltshire scenery, this is one not to miss. See you there! 🚴♀️🚴♂️
