🚴 This Week’s Main Ride: Devizes – Salisbury Plain Edge Loop 🚴
This Saturday DTCC heads out for a 72.6km loop taking in the rolling edge of Salisbury Plain — with at least 400m of climbing (a floor estimate from the route data, so expect a bit more in the legs by the end).
We roll out from Southbroom School at 9:00am, heading out via Dunkirk Hill and Sells Green before skirting the plain through Common Hill and Tinhead — quiet, open lanes with big skies and a real sense of space. From there we swing through Westbury Road toward Market Lavington and Cheverell Green, before turning for home via Urchfont and Etchilhampton, back into Devizes.
☕ Coffee stop still to be confirmed — we’ll let you know on the day (or see you there and follow the group!).
A quick heads-up: the forecast is looking mixed this week — a high of 21°C but a chance of rain, so pack a layer just in case.
Please keep an eye out in case the ride needs to be called off at short notice if the forecast takes a turn — we’ll post an update here if that happens.
Fingers crossed for dry roads and a good turnout — come and explore one of Wiltshire’s quieter corners with us!
See you at Southbroom School, 9am. 🚴♀️🚴♂️
