COVID-19 Restrictions – Gov Road Map

On Monday, 17th May, we move to the next phase of the government’s ‘Road map out of Lockdown’.

As a cycling club affiliated to British Cycling, the most fundamental change this introduces is that we are permitted to return to unlimited numbers on Club rides. In practice, this means we are permitted to ride in groups of unlimited numbers and whilst riding, we do not have to respect social distancing regulations. However, the dispensation from social distancing requirements only applies when actually riding, so when meeting up, disbanding or enjoying social interaction over a coffee etc, social distancing rules apply.

As things stand, in the intervening period and until the Committee has the opportunity to discuss things in detail, we will continue with existing arrangements for all club events.
