Saturday 31st January Club Ride
π΄ββοΈ THIS SATURDAY’S RIDE β 65KM LOOP π΄ββοΈ
Main group departing Southbroom School at 9:30am sharp this weekend.
Our route takes us south through Sells Green and towards Edington, before winding through the picturesque villages of Tinhead, Worton, and Potterne. We’ll loop around Market Lavington and head back via Devizes Road β a proper tour of some beautiful Wiltshire countryside!
The conditions: Cold and dry weather is forecast, but with all the recent rain, expect some muddy lanes and potentially wet road surfaces. Mudguards are highly recommended this week, and don’t forget extra layers β it’s definitely time to dig out those arm warmers or a gilet!
Coffee stop: TBC on the day (we’ll decide as a group β suggestions welcome!).
Everyone’s welcome to join us for a great morning in the saddle. See you Saturday! βπ΄
Easy Rollers: No ride this week β back next Saturday, weather permitting!

Saturday Club Ride – 17th January π΄ββοΈπ΄ββοΈ
First Saturday ride of the new year! We’re meeting at 9:30am from Southbroom School for a 65km loop that’ll help shake off any lingering festive cobwebs. The route takes us out through Horton and up towards Marlborough, before dropping down through the lovely lanes around Stockley and Bromham.
We’ll work our way through Melksham and back via Seend and Sells Green, with the final stretch bringing us home through Conscience Lane. Around 700m of climbing spread throughout β enough to keep us warm on what looks to be a cold but clear morning. Coffee stop will be decided on the day depending on how we’re all feeling β
As always, rides are weather dependent, so keep an eye on the forecast and our social channels for any last-minute changes.
Easy Rollers Route
Join us for this week’s Easy Rollers ride, leaving at 9:30am from Southbroom School. We’ll be taking a nice steady loop out through Coate and Etchilhampton, then dropping down to Patney before following the Vale through Marden and Honeystreet. The return leg brings us back via Allington and into town – around 35km of pleasant Wiltshire lanes at a sociable pace.
Coffee stop will be decided as we go – might be Honeystreet Cafe, or we’ll find somewhere warm along the way β The Easy Rollers ride is all about enjoying the ride together, no one gets left behind, and there’s always time for a chat at the junctions.
It’s still properly cold out there, so dig out those overshoes along with your winter kit – cold toes are no fun! Base layers, winter gloves, and a good jacket will make all the difference. As always, rides are weather dependent, but the forecast is looking reasonable for now.
See you at 9:30am! π²

Saturday 27th December Club Ride
**Final Saturday Ride of 2025 π΄ββοΈπ΄ββοΈ**
This is it β our last club ride of the year! Join us Saturday at 9:30am from Southbroom School for a 61km loop to close out the season properly. We’ll head down Dunkirk Hill and wind through the lanes.
Β
The usual coffee and cake stop at Honeystreet Cafe β will be especially welcome with the cold weather β perfect for warming up before tackling the return leg. Around 600m of climbing throughout, nothing too harsh, just enough to keep the blood flowing on a chilly December morning.
Β
It’s going to be cold but dry, so layer up well β base layers, winter gloves, and maybe that neck warmer you’ve been saving. The lanes should be clear but watch for any lingering autumn leaves on the corners.
Β
Hard to believe another year of Saturday rides is coming to an end. Let’s finish it together β same time, same place, same good company. See you at 9:30am! πβοΈ

Saturday 20th December Club Ride
Saturday’s Beckhampton Loop π΄ββοΈπ΄ββοΈ
Good news β after all that rain this week, Saturday’s forecast is looking better! We’re heading out at 9:30am from Southbroom School for a nice 61km loop through the Vale. The route takes us down through Dunkirk Hill and across to Bromham, then we’ll work our way through the quiet lanes around Stockley before the climb up to Beckhampton.
Coffee stop as usual at Honeystreet Cafe β β perfect timing to refuel before the return leg through Woodborough and Patney. The last bit includes a steady climb up Monument Hill, but nothing too serious, and we’ll be home via Green Lane.
Around 650m of total climbing on this one. The lanes might still have a few puddles lurking after this week’s weather, so mudguards could be handy if you have them. Otherwise, just bring your usual kit and we’ll enjoy what should be a pleasant autumn ride.
See you Saturday morning β wheels rolling at 9:30am sharp! π
