Saturday 21st March Club Ride

🚴 Main Group

β˜€οΈ and the sun is actually showing up! β˜€οΈ

We’re rolling out from Southbroom School at 9:30am this Saturday for a cracking 75km route with around 500m of climbing β€” and with a high of 12Β°C and sunshine on the way, it honestly feels like someone hit fast-forward to summer. Enjoy it while it lasts! 😎

From Devizes we drop down through the Caen Hill corridor and swing south through Poulshot before tracking west through West Ashton and into the beautiful lanes around Bradford-on-Avon β€” Wadswick, Corsham, and some proper Wiltshire back-road goodness. We’ll wind through Lacock and follow the canal-side through Melksham, picking up the lanes back through Seend and Semington before the final push home via the familiar Folly Road drag back into Devizes.

β˜• Coffee stop this week is at Spindles β€” always a solid reward after those western lanes!

🌀️ Kit notes: 12 degrees and sunny means it’s almost a shorts-and-jersey day… but almost. A light gilet or arm warmers for the first hour won’t go amiss. No mudguard required this week β€” hallelujah! πŸ™Œ

As always, the ride is weather dependent β€” but right now the forecast is looking like a belter. See you at 9:30! πŸš΄β€β™‚οΈπŸ’¨

🌿 Easy Rollers

β˜€οΈ Saturday Morning Spin!

A gorgeous sunny Saturday is on the way, and we’ve got the perfect ride to make the most of it! 🌞 We’re heading out from Southbroom School at 9:30am for a lovely 42km loop with around 300m of climbing β€” friendly pace, no one left behind, and great company guaranteed.

We’ll head out through Urchfont and down through the Vale of Pewsey, rolling through the quiet lanes around West Lavington and Potterne before looping back through Seend and Semington and returning into Devizes via the Bath Road. It’s a beautiful route β€” rolling Wiltshire countryside at its springtime best. 🌿

β˜• This week’s coffee stop is at Mind Tree CafΓ© β€” the perfect mid-ride treat to sit in the sunshine and congratulate yourselves on getting out there!

🌀️ With 12°C and sunshine forecast, this one is going to feel like a real treat after the winter miles. A light layer to start is sensible, but you may well be peeling it off by coffee time!

Whether it’s your first time out with the club or you’re a regular face, you are very welcome β€” the Easy Rollers ride is all about enjoying the ride together. No pressure, no drop, just good cycling and even better chat. β˜•πŸš΄β€β™€οΈ

The forecast is looking good. We’ll be stopping at Honey Street CafΓ© for well-earned coffee and cake β€” if that’s not enough motivation to get out of bed, we don’t know what is.

Saturday 28th February Club Ride

🚴 Saturday Ride | 28 February | 9:30am πŸ“ Southbroom School

This Saturday we’re heading out on a 71km loop taking in some of North Wiltshire’s finest countryside. We’ll roll out of Devizes and make our way down towards Calne before sweeping through the quiet lanes around Dauntsey and Seagry β€” flat, fast, and a great chance to find your legs. The return leg brings us back via the steady pull up Studley Hill and through the villages on the A342 corridor before finishing back through the heart of Devizes. Around 390m of climbing in total β€” nothing too savage, just enough to earn a coffee.

Speaking of which β€” coffee stop is TBC on the day, so we’ll go wherever the road (and hunger) takes us. β˜•

The forecast is looking cloudy and a little chilly, but dry β€” so no excuses! Dig out the arm warmers and a gilet, and you’ll be perfectly comfortable once you’re rolling.

Whether it’s your first club ride or your hundredth, there’s always room in the group. Come and join us πŸ™Œ

We’ll work our way through Melksham and back via Seend and Sells Green, with the final stretch bringing us home through Conscience Lane. Around 700m of climbing spread throughout – enough to keep us warm on what looks to be a cold but clear morning. Coffee stop will be decided on the day depending on how we’re all feeling β˜•

As always, rides are weather dependent, so keep an eye on the forecast and our social channels for any last-minute changes.

Easy Rollers Route

Join us for this week’s Easy Rollers ride, leaving at 9:30am from Southbroom School. We’ll be taking a nice steady loop out through Coate and Etchilhampton, then dropping down to Patney before following the Vale through Marden and Honeystreet. The return leg brings us back via Allington and into town – around 35km of pleasant Wiltshire lanes at a sociable pace.

Coffee stop will be decided as we go – might be Honeystreet Cafe, or we’ll find somewhere warm along the way β˜• The Easy Rollers ride is all about enjoying the ride together, no one gets left behind, and there’s always time for a chat at the junctions.

It’s still properly cold out there, so dig out those overshoes along with your winter kit – cold toes are no fun! Base layers, winter gloves, and a good jacket will make all the difference. As always, rides are weather dependent, but the forecast is looking reasonable for now.

See you at 9:30am! 🚲

Saturday 10th January Club Ride

Saturday Club Ride – 10th January πŸš΄β€β™€οΈπŸš΄β€β™‚οΈ

First Saturday ride of the new year! We’re meeting at 9:30am from Southbroom School for a 65km loop that’ll help shake off any lingering festive cobwebs. The route takes us out through Horton and up towards Marlborough, before dropping down through the lovely lanes around Stockley and Bromham.

Wrap up well – winter gloves, base layers, and maybe that thermal jacket. The forecast is looking dry and bright, but it’ll be properly cold, especially on those descents. As always, rides are weather dependent, so keep an eye on the forecast and our social channels for any last-minute changes.

See you Saturday morning for the first group ride of 2026 – let’s start the year as we mean to go on! 🚲

Β

Saturday 27th December Club Ride

**Final Saturday Ride of 2025 πŸš΄β€β™€οΈπŸš΄β€β™‚οΈ**

This is it – our last club ride of the year! Join us Saturday at 9:30am from Southbroom School for a 61km loop to close out the season properly. We’ll head down Dunkirk Hill and wind through the lanes.

Β

The usual coffee and cake stop at Honeystreet Cafe β˜• will be especially welcome with the cold weather – perfect for warming up before tackling the return leg. Around 600m of climbing throughout, nothing too harsh, just enough to keep the blood flowing on a chilly December morning.

Β

It’s going to be cold but dry, so layer up well – base layers, winter gloves, and maybe that neck warmer you’ve been saving. The lanes should be clear but watch for any lingering autumn leaves on the corners.

Β

Hard to believe another year of Saturday rides is coming to an end. Let’s finish it together – same time, same place, same good company. See you at 9:30am! πŸ‚β„οΈ
